4. What is mind coaching?Mind Coaching is a cross between Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching. It is fast and effective in making wholesale behavioural change using safe and ethical hypnotherapeutic techniques. The objective is to use hypnosis to access the subconscious mind to resolve issues quickly.
It uses the skills and techniques of Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to enhance performance, modify behaviour and manage stress for individuals from corporate business, sport and all other walks of life. |
5. What is NLP?NLP is a collection of information, insights and mental techniques designed to improve how you think, behave and feel. It has been described as the ‘technology of the mind’, and is based upon the factors which account for either success or failure in human performance. |
6. What is hypnosis?Hypnosis is a naturally occurring phenomenon, a state of mind that we experience many times every day of our lives. To understand it better we must first understand the power of the subconscious mind. It is a resource we can tap into for creativity and it is responsible for maintaining our bodies in good health and for all the autonomic processes we take for granted, such as breathing, blood circulation and tissue repair.
"Habits" such as these and many more are formed in the subconscious mind allowing us to perform many tasks "without thinking". In order to modify a habit or behaviour or enhance a performance, it follows that we must first access the subconscious mind and re-programme it. We access the subconscious mind through intended hypnosis - a safe and enjoyable process that can change the way we live on many exciting levels. |
7. Is hypnosis safe? Absolutely. You enter hypnosis via a deep relaxation technique and the entire process is safe and controlled. But because deep relaxation is involved, you must not listen to our CDs or downloads while driving, flying, or operating heavy and mechanical equipment. |
8. What if I can't be hypnotised? You can. Everyone can. As long as you wish to enter hypnosis you will. But it does not necessarily mean you will be completely ‘under’. Everyone reacts differently to hypnosis, with varying degrees of relaxation. |
9. What does it feel like? You are deeply relaxed and calm, aware of everything around you. It is a pleasant dream-like state that is very similar to daydreaming or drifting off to sleep. You will feel wonderfully relaxed and you may find that your sleep will be of much better quality as a result of using hypnosis. |
10. What if I get stuck in hypnosis? You won’t. You are able to bring yourself out of hypnosis at any time. Towards the end of our CDs and audio downloads there are techniques which will bring you back. |
11. Will I be under the hypnotists’ power like you see on TV?No, you are completely in control. You cannot be made to do anything against your will and you cannot be taken into hypnosis if you don't want to. It is your experience and you are in control throughout. Only a very small percentage of people can actually experience the hugely deep levels of relaxation typically seen on TV or in hypnotist stage shows. Generally, while listening to our CDs and audio downloads (hyperlink to products) you will simply feel very relaxed and calm, with deep regular breathing. |
12. How should I use the golf CD and download? Your golf hypnosis CD or download is best used with headphones in a quiet room, free from loud noises and interruptions which may affect your relaxed state. If you are in a house, office or location used by many people, make sure in advance that you will not be interrupted.
Sit or lie in a comfortable chair or settee, with your hands and legs uncrossed and your head preferably supported. Play the golf instruction CD or golf download and allow yourself to become deeply relaxed and focus on breathing deeply and regularly.
Once the CD or download has finished, take a few minutes to allow yourself to become reacquainted with your surroundings. Avoid driving or doing anything strenuous for a few minutes as you may experience some slight disorientation – but this will soon pass. |
13. How often should I use the golf instruction CD and download? We suggest using your CD or audio downloads a minimum of three times a week for a month to familiarise yourself with the hypnosis process and to achieve the best results. After that, you may simply choose to use the CD or download before any round of golf, but frequency of use is entirely up to you. |
14. How quickly will I see results? That depends on you, and what it is you wish to change. Hypnosis helps people fast, so that even deep behavioural problems can take only a few sessions to resolve.
The processes used on our CDs and downloads are fast, effective and relaxing and designed to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time. |
15. Does hypnosis work for everyone? As with all forms of therapy, there is no cast-iron guarantee that mind coaching through hypnosis will work for you. But mind coaching is a proven method of improving performance and is used by many people to great effect. |
